About the show
Are you into hiking, bigfoot, and comedy? Then look no further! The Cryptid Hikes Podcast brings all of those into one. What started as hiking because Matt and Tim love adventure and the outdoors, turned into something much greater. Tim had discovered that Matt was also big into bigfoot! We both knew at that moment things were going to be different. We had came up with this idea to do a podcast that not only talks about our hiking adventures, but it will also cover cryptids, UFOs, and haunted areas that we explore.
Each month we will investigate. The investigation will fall into 4 episodes (one each week) with pictures, videos and a whole lot of fun! our main goal is to keep things funny and mysterious as we adventure into the unknown. We will also have pictures uploaded, some videos, and much more content!

My name is Matthew, but you can call me Matt or MattSquatch. If we're close. I live in a small town in central Illinois, which doesn't offer much in terms of activities. This led me to delve into learning about cryptids, myths, and legends. I've always been fascinated by the extraordinary. My favorite podcaster, Dan Cummins, often says that if one of these stories is real, the whole world is a magical place. That's what I'm after – I want to uncover the mysterious, magical, and eerie. I crave having my perspectives shattered. That's why I'm drawn to these stories and investigations. As a way to escape my Monday through Friday 8-5 job, I've become deeply involved in hiking and backpacking. Every weekend, my wonderful wife and children join me on my hikes. I aspire to explore the world, one step at a time. After all, I'm not going to find Sasquatch if I'm cooped up behind a desk all the time. Let's go!
